is my chip dead?

I as installing a dms3 and I was kinda drunk, I soldered theground wire to my board with an iron heated with a butane torch, I know I'm retarded.How can I tell if the chip is dead? The playstation is fine and I dont see any scorch marks or anything on the chip, I think it didnt work cuz of a shitty install. I went ahead & bought a matrix infinity but I'd rather put my dms3 in if its ok & give the infinity to my nephew.

well a more explaination of yoru problem would be nice. Most likly it's not that easy to damage the ps2 or chip. probly didn't work cause of the shity install

well I wanted to know if my chip would be fried , I uninstalled everything so I would have to do a reinstall to see if it worked. Just a tip, dont solder under the influence of methamphetamines. I thought the heat might fry the chip. but I soldered the wire on the board so didnt know if it would get hot enough to run from the solder point on the board, up the wire to the chip's ground point and damage the dms3 chip.

shuoldn't be if the wire was short it should melt easly

well connect wires A-N then boot the ps2 up.. test dev mode
