I HAVE THE SAME RESULTS WITH THE MARS 2 BUT THIS ONE IS MORE FLEXIBLE AND EASY TO INSTALL ( RECOMMEND FOR LOW SKILL EXPIRIENCE SOLDERING)
ps1 ntsc fullscreen?
And does the game still load if the ps2 dont pick the disk up on the first try as some old v3 do ?
Using the Matrix2 the NTSC games run in fullscreen on PAL PS2. And the RGB greenfix is also implemented (so you don't have to change your RGB cable when watching DVD movies (no green picture)) Very reliable chip in my opinion.
how does this compare in the cost scheme of things though?
And it disables macrovision?? but not region coding??
Does that put it some where between the Messiah type chips and the DMS?
Well, it is sold for about 30 euro, don't know it's high or not. Yes the chip disables Microvision but can't play out of region DVDs without a Region X. It's a 18(+1 on V9) wire mod and I know that many of the experts will not care about it, thought it's a help for not so expert people. For me it's better (much better) than Messiah, doesn't have the bugs that Messiah actually has. DMS is another story, sure that it offers more than Matrix, but if you don't need the extra features then I see no reason why to choose the DMS.
