MX4 problem in V10

discovered a problem with MX4

Console 50004 PAL silver.

Bios
C2003 SCEI
B20103 D221111
064 428ABA1J

I install the MX4.
Flash OK.
But
dvd/r RSOD
cdr --> go to black screen
check all wires , remove wires install new
The same.
Replace the Mod .
All the same results.
I keep the wires and replace the mod with a ininity ( blank )
Flash OK
Boot all the types ( cd/dvd/movie psx /r)
Have any idea for that ??????

My question was could it boot the upgrade CD afther you flashed the chip the first time...

Same question other words: where you able to flash it more than 1 time ???

Yes i t have flash this 3 times with no succes

And the removed mods work good (one in a v9 and the other in a v12)

Strange story.. I have installed 6 MX4's in V10 (pal) PS2's without a problem...
I tried to create the same error as you have over here and the only way I
can manage the chip for being able to flash and not boot anny DVD is when I swap wires B and G..

If all wires are connected the way they sould be it works fine...

What is there reply..?? Maybe it can take some time for them to reply it's cristmas...
I can't check the bios of the PS2's I putted in a MX4 (custommers have picked them up already) mine worked without any problem...

strange issue.

You tested different MX4 on same 50004 PS2?

If yes, were you able to DISABLE the MX4?
Did the writing "DISABLED" appear on screen?
Did the "MX4" appear under the Playstation Logo at boot up?

I asked two of the DEV Team to come to the lab now to test this issue.

I am getting ready for them a silver 50004 and a normal V10 with the same
Bios as you have to fully test it again from zero.


They are asking me if you can do a quick test meantime:

Turn on PS2 without game inside and go to browser.
Insert game, and let me know if "Playstation2 Disc" appears on the TV

AGAIN SAME ISSUES.

Ok, as soon as you have a machine that presents the same problem please
make this test.
Meantime we will test here our machines to see if we have the same issues.

Anyway i found this prob in 2 of 30 V9-10 chiped with MX4.
MX bioses works good.
