    Just wondering if there is any difference in this chip since it is not the same as the regular sony bios chip. GH-22 050 070 board.

    I also noticed that there is no longer a rubber cushion to transfer heat on the BA chip near the reset pwr cable plug in? Seems wiered that this is no longer needed.

    no difference.. it's just a V7 ..

    it's normal that the heat transfer pad is missing on the Ba6664FM chip .. (they started doing that on the newer V7 ) BUT it's a must to have one on top of the BA5815FM.
