the best is to use solder flux to tint the pads - the wire still stick more easily once you've done that.

first thank you for the reply, now the 30 G wire is ok them ? i will try to get some flux from radioshack today, it will be the firt time i needed, because with xbox you don't need that......

now because i didn't finish soldering all the wires, i made small tested and went ahead and put the ps2 togather i tried to turn it on, but i was not getting video, this is normal right? since the modchip is not complete it solder, i will not get video until is finish?

Yes the 30 guage is fine. You will find that you may want to use it on the xbox as well, you will get a superior connection using flux. Not nessessarilly, before you continue, you may want to check for solder splashes or shorts. If the chip isn't done then you should get normal function on the PS2... Personally i would remove and start from scratch...
    Good Luck

No, flux will not help your joints stay together if they're badly done in the first place. Flux simply cleans up the oxidation from the surfaces it contacts in order to help make a more solid connection.

I suggest you check all of your points for accuracy and soldering quality.

Take a razor and clean off the lacquer off of those pads (their proper name is via), that should allow the solder to flow better.

And don't take this as an insult, but modding an Xbox is not the same as modding a PS2.
