Movies via DVD-R/CDGENPS2v2/Mediaplayer

Heya guys,

Ok here's what's going on...

I have an unmodded PS2 (playing backups using old version of GS2/swap) that I can sucessfully play backups and movies with PS2Reality player.

But I really want to be able to play my movies from a DVD-R. Using CDGenPS2v2 I can create my disk using the exact same method that I can sucessfuly create a playable CD. But instead of creating a .bin and .cue, I choose to save it as an .iso so Alcohol 120% will burn it to a DVD-R. (for some reason, alcohol wont let me burn any .cue/.bin to a dvd, but will for .iso)

The problem is, my system just hangs when I try to boot a DVD-R created this way. CD's play just fine. So I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing? Is there a dvd type program of the same nature?

I make sure, per the instructions, that the media players files are at the begining of the disk layout. And yes, I know this type of DVD media works, as I can play 100% of all my dvd-type game backups with it.

Any idea's as to what's wrong?

u tried burning .bin/.cue with nero??

Double check your version of CDDVDGen and make sure it is generating the image in DVD mode and not CD mode. CD's are written in Mode2 2352, and DVD's are mode1 2048 sector formats.
