Well the not booting dvd thing bugged me, so I re-installed, and then found it was laser problems. But now it's a black screen. I read charlie's tutorial. suggests snagged wires/cables/the magic not seated properly.

but when I take off reset I get a picture back.

it's crazy. and I got it to boot a dvd-r when I had a picture late last night, went to make sure this morning, and no pic

any help much appreciated
