Modded ps2 slimline with ghost v2 -> drive doesnt spin
Modded ps2 slimline with ghost v2 -> drive doesnt spin –

Hello,
I modded my PS2 slimline (v13) with the latest Ghost V2 chip.
The welding points etc all look good, nothing is broken and everything is double checked (its a PAL ps2).
When i plug in my ps2 it does not spin. It doesnt read any disc, backop or original. What could this be? Did i damaged my drive? I also connected the F wire (http://www.ghost2.net/guide/G2_v12.jpg) and I skipped the H wire since its a PAL region im in, not NTSC.

make sure you did not damage any of the vias or ribbon cables .. also look closely for loose solder bridges everywere..

best bet is remove the mod, clean up all points and check if it still works. if not check the fuses and look for shorts.

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing. I will get my desolder tool back from a friend and will remove everything, hoping it will still work. What exactly do you mean with "fuses"?
Edit:
Btw, its a v13 ps2, do i need additional fixes? All these fixes out there make me nuds and i dont know if I need to apply any of them? At this moment i only soldered the chip on it, with the diagram that is supplied on the ghost website.
Edit2:
While searching for some clues I found this image: http://computers.tweedehands.net/fot...45aa6b45d9.jpg
As you can see, the SCeX is connected at the upper right corner of the big black chip, I connected it on the upper left corner of the black chip. While re-examing the Ghost diagram for v12-13 I saw they also display the upper left corner. Is this an error in there image? Or is it a different ps2 version? Or is it an error in the ghost diagram?
