Matrix Infinity Trouble: Doesn't load up to startup
Matrix Infinity Trouble: Doesn't load up to startup –

I have a Matrix Infinity on a V4 Ps2, and had it installed by someone from the forums. However, the Ps2 seems to be ****ed. The disable mode does'nt seem to show up, the Ps2 only loads up every once in a while based on an Act of God. It works when it wants to work.
This modchip seems to be WORSE than the Magic 2. I don't understand it at all, I did'nt have trouble with LOADING a PS2 with the Magic 2.

Could just be a wire came loose in shipping. Happens to the best of us. Just try to get a hold of the guy that put it in for you and see what he wants you to do.
Good luck with all this.

When you say it doesn't work do you get rsod or dre? Sounds more like a laser problem.

=Newb, so can you specify what you mean by rsod or dre? If I can fix this on my own, can anyone post how?

rsod = red screen of death
dre = disc read error
I'm trying to understand why your PS2 is acting the way it is. Just need a little more information from you though.
By the way tiger, if a wire was loose the possibility of it booting is .000000001%. I don't see how a wire can be "loose" it's either soldered or unsoldered. If it's unsoldered then it's likely not gonna work. But there's that possibility thing again.

Ah, I don't get RSOD or DRE. It just does'nt go into the browser screen at all. You know when it says Browser, and Version..it doesn't load. Even without a CD/DVD in the Tray, it doesn't work.
Oh and sometimes, when I do get into the screen. I click on browse and I see the Memory card and the PS2 CD/DVD picture. However there IS no Cd/DVD inside the tray. It just shows the picture of a CD, for a few seconds, disappears, then again for a few seconds reappears again.

You should send it back to him and tell him to fix it. It could be a defective chip or damages during shipping. Definitely let the installer fix this one though. He should take responsibility.
