I am looking for a following modchip:

    1) Which is cheap
    2) Which can play the most ps2 backup games (1 on 1 copies)
    3) Reliable & easy to install
    4) Price is less then 10 dollars
    5) Can be installed in all ps2 versions V1-V14

Autoboot for ps1/ps2/movie & applications , are not important.

I don't think you can get any chip that is good for less than $10.. If you want a good stable modchip that will never give you any problems go for the Matrix Infinity its only $31 (PM Netmech)

I have to agree with Jit, get the Matrix Infinity it will do all that you are looking for and more. It is extremely reliable, as for installation it has between 18-20 wire depending on the PS2 model. Also Gamecubesuxs sells them for $31 as well.

Grab a Duo 3 its under $15 or so Boots All media except DVD-R DL (just patch them with toxics patcher) I have a Duo 2 SE and I love it. I didnt really need a overly expencive chip just to boot backups. I didnt care about booting apps from the MC, using Media Players and all that. Dont get me wrong ppl that like the MI chip probally would switch to nothing else but for me I love my Duo 2 SE. But sometimes the PS2 wont recogize the disc so i just reset the ps2 and it usally boots afterwards. So your options are:

    1. Get a MI, DMS 4, CC or Ghost 2 chip (all over $30 or so) Great options and build quality the Bentley of Modchips everything in a chip you would want. Ghost 2 v2 and Crystal Chip both boot backups online without patching the DNAS.

    2. Get a Modbo 760 (its MI Clone and cant upgrade the Firmware but can use all of the options that MI offers (MC App Booting, auto patcher for DVD DL games, PAL/NTSC Switcher, Green screen fix, etc tools and fixes) without the price. Their pently of other MI clones (XenoPS, Myth Chip, NH9, Ape, Magic Mushroom Modchip, Aladdin 75K, etc.....) but so far Modbo 760 is the best MI clone right now just without the firmware updating its almost the same. Gamecubesux has them for $15 or so)

    3. Get a Duo 3 installs up to v16 slim PS2s Auto Boots PSX, PS2, and DVD. Great build quality and workmanship of a basic modchip without a high price. This is the Toyota of modchips Great chip, pretty afforiable for most ppl get the job done. Gamecubesux also has these for about $15 or so.

The Choice is yours Good luck

Do you know how stable the Modbo 760 is ?
This compared to the original Matrix Infinity.

Please no answers from people who hate clones...

    hi pstw4u back on track
can't help it but stay away from those clone chips
if you want cheap alternative use a icecode base chip like duo3 or h20

but if you want to keep your reputation high stay on infinity's

Also octapus 3d is good, nice and stable, its the same as a duo 3 only with DEV1 mode on it. Easy installation as well half the points are soldered directly to the board and the other half are regular wire installation
