I made sure all the connections were good on the modchip. I connected all the wires to their points. When i put the ps2 back together and turn the ps2 on by pressing the reset button, i dont get any screens and the ps2 doesnt show any picture, i guess that is what you call a blank screen. While its on, i press the eject button and it just blinks and and the cddrive does not come out. What can be the problem?? Thanks.

    Also the fan doesnt spin...

    Btw i have an apollo 7 chip, v9 ps2.

A bridge would be when you accidently connected two or more legs of the bios chip with solder

The bios chip is on the modchip or the ps2 mobo? and which chip is the bios chip?

Edit: i did the romeo mod, doesnt seem to make a differences, still have blank screen, dvdtray doesnt come out, and the fan doesnt work.

The only bridging i see is on the BIG chip that says sony computer, and its the biggest one on the top of the mobo where the modchip is located. I dont know if that can be the problem? Its quite difficult to unbridge the few legs because i accidently knocked them in when tryin to remove the solder... and thyere touching on the inside and im afraid i might break them if i try to pull them out.

i think i have to agree that you have to look out for some support
because if you don't no how to remove solder between the bios points you are not that experienced with soldering and the change is big you make more damaging
but if you want to continue your adventure try this :
Not opening you tray is possible a blown fuse or Bachip
    Measure all Fuses
Also does your chip use a Z wire ? i am not familiar with your chip but is sounds like a ice code based chip

try removing this wire because this can cause (saw this lots of time on duo2se)
that the tray is not opening

if it is still not working
orking start removing the chip and clean all points with Litze
(don't no what litze is go to a electronicalshop and ask it there they will understand you)

also perhaps you can put op a picture of your install then we can check your work and give some advise

if you are located in europe you can also come to me for a repair
