modchip identification –

I don't know if it is on the forums or not, but I need to identify what modchip I have in my system.
To play ps2 games, I turn on the ps2, insert the disc, then press restart.
To play ps1 and DVD's, I need to hold down the reset button for several seconds.
Anybody know what modchip this is?

I doubt that anyone could identify that chip if you can't give MORE information... *and a picture*

Yeah I'm gearing towards a magic chip. I'm trying to play ffxi on my modded ps2 but it doesn't look like its going to happen. I've read in numerous forums that the only way you can play ffxi is with the dms3 chip. Thanks for the help. I think I'll just buy a used ps2.

Sounds like a Magic modchip to me too. I have a Magic 3.0 and the boot method is exactly like your's.
I would recommend ppl play FFXI on their PC, it has better graphics and you don't have to buy extra hard disk etc..
