Anyone who can should help set up a guide for each modchip, like when you get black screen, which solder points to check for bridges or cold solder, or like console boots but doesn´t read cds or dvds, etc. because personally I just installed an MX4 on a pstwo and I get the mx4 logo on original media but dvd-r backups dont boot: I´d like to know which points to check instead of undoing everything!! could it be a solder bridge, I checked but everything seems ok?? bios points (MNOP) or (BGI)? I installed the firmware ok!! anyone help!!

Well I don't have your answer as I am not familiar with that chip, but a collected diagnostic faq/guide would be very handy for everyone and would save having to search/request information that is already around.

Yeah, it sure would! I have an old PS2 diagnostics file around somewhere, when I find it I'll post it but I dont know how it stacks up with these new chips tho. Maybe after exams I'll make a table with various problems/ solutions
