which modchip DVD region free?

are there modchips DVD region free other than dms3? which ones?
i just want to play original games pal/import - ps1/ps2 and original dvd any region on my ps2, i dont care about any backup.

Well, what version ps2 do you have?
If I'm not wrong, there was a multiregion chip a long time ago, then there are the DMS clones, then you could just get an AR2 or DVD Region X disc and do a swap everytime you want to play the out of region disc...
What region PS2 do you have? And what region is the DVD?
I need that information in order to guide you in the right way, because NTSC U/C and Pure J (Japanese models) cannot playback PAL DVDs, the rest can.

i still have to buy it, so would be a v9 or v10 Pal
i want to be able to play DVD any region, mostly 1 and 2 and i want a no-swap chip.. i'm too lazy for any swap thing...
i'm just afraid about what i read on PS2 V9 with dms3, many dead ones..
or since i didnt buy yet, it's better to wait and see if sony fix latest ps2 problems?

Sony aren't the ones fixing it, the modchip developers are..
I guess you'll have to wait.
