Modchip choices –
i use to have a ps2 but sold it after playing all the good games, right now i have a modded xbox, and i like it very much but with GTA4 coming out on ps2 i want to get a ps2 again
might as well get a modded one right? well i got my modded xbox from modchipman, and they did suck a good job i think ill get the modded ps2 from them as well
now on to my question, i know little about ps2 modding, what chip should i be looking at, the DMS3+ or the matrix infinity? both are about the same price, so really just which is better and why
also, on PS2 modding, i know its nothing like xbox (play from the hdd) but is it like, copy the game to blank dvd, and put the dvd_r in the ps2 and it reads it like a new game?
also does it work with dvd+r, thats all my HP does
if you dont want to spend too much $ and still want a good mod look around for the DUO2 SE, but if you have the money to spend get a DMS3+
Solderless Mods and Flip tops are like tampons, every pussy needs one!
when u say auto-boot do u man its like, u put the cd in, turn it on and it automatically boots to the game?
so the DMS doesnt do that?
Uhm, yes it does. But it doesn't auto boot media. You have to press a certain button on the controller pad to boot psx games and certain button to boot dvd. It doesn't automatically detect the media in the drive and boot it. It requires you to press a button to change the mode it is in.
Matrix Infinity detects what type of media is in the drive and change the mode itself. DMS3 only boot PS2 games without pressing any button on the controller pad. Because the default mode is PS2 game mode.
are there any reasons why i should get DMS3+ instead of matrix infinity?
Uhm... Don't know much about DMS3+.
The DMS3 has been around for quite a while, Its a good chip with a pretty decent history behind it.
Check out www.dms3.com form more info
The DMS3 has features that they don't even list on their sites.
