There is no official Duo chip that works in the V12. DMS4pro has an overheating problem I've seen only in V12s (probably because of the size). Games will boot fine, play for a while then your system will boot to black screen when you reboot (unless you disable the chip). 15 mins later, it works fine. Not in every V12, but I have seen and heard of this on too many occasions. Matrix or Crystal will both work great if you want a quality chip that will auto-boot PS1/PS2/DVD.

    Madisonmods,

Is that heat problem with only the DMS4Pro? Or is that also with the Lite version.

As for all the other suggestions people have made, I can't get the Matrix Infinity since I don't know someone who installs that chip.

However, maybe I can get the crystal chip. What's everyone's opinion of the crystal chip in a Slim PsTwo? Better than DMS4Lite?

    Thanks everyone,
    -Croyd

I've only ever seen this problem on the Pro, but in what I've seen in DMS quality in the last couple of months I wouldn't recommend either. The Crystal is also a great chip. Works almost exactly like the Matrix.

Yep, what madison said. I do tonnes of Infinities, and lately, some Crystals too. Both are dynamite.

And as for the doorknob (was that really you, spyman?) who said that Infinities "provoke" mechacon crashes... you admit you're putting the summ0ne on every one of your installs. Unless the DMS4 "provokes" mechacon crashes, why do that? Unless, of course, you're just one of those anti-infinity types.

Hey, I've thrown in about a dozen of the M-7 Pros to date, with the built in pic fix... so far so good. Seems comparable to the KX+, plus the fix.
