It seems very unclear to me exactly what you two guys are talking about, except that it concerns both the MI modchip (or clones of it) and USBAdvance.
For all such cases the primary concern is to turn OFF the 'Macrovision Fix' in the modchip settings, since it is impossible to use USBAdvance properly while that setting is active.

yes so that i told him to choose either Modbo 4.0 or Modbo 3.0 or Geniun one because their setting can be changed including Macrovision of course .
@dlanor i managed USBA to get work on Magic 3 and Magic 7 Modchip i set the modchip to DVD-Video Mod .by pressing the Reset button 6 times
btw : i moved your thread to PS2 Modchip Thread

Modbo chips are just clones of the Matrix Infinity.
The earliest clones were quite bad, and would destroy themselves if the user tried to change any settings.
Later clones were slightly better as they just blocked such changes but kept on working (but still useless for USBAdvance).
Current clones are quite good as they do allow settings to be changed, making it possible to use them with USBAdvance. Not all of them allow firmware reflashing though, so in many cases you're stuck with their initial firmware. But that is not so bad, as the common clone firmwares are based on the latest real MI firmware.
