    Hello all,

I recently installed a Modbo v4 in a v7 PS2 and it's been working great but I'm having trouble using the dev2 function, First I placed OPL 0.8 named as BOOT dot ELF in __boot then set the modchip to boot from dev2 and rebooted the system. It would show the Matrix logo and I could here the hard drive spin up but then I would just get a black screen. I then booted ulaunchelf to see if I could manually launch this elf and it worked fine trying to boot it from ulaunchelf so then I figured maybe the __boot folder is wrong and I created a partition called BOOT and tried from there but again it didn't work

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or got any ideas on what I could try?

    Thanx in Advance

Try a newer build, afaik OPL later on got support to unpatch RAM that the Modbo patched.

Its not the newest, but should do the job.

Firstly you have to run a DEV2 Installer. I've attached one, it has OPL 0.8 preinstalled. From an USB stick, execute "DEV2IELF". This tool was designed for Matrix modchips, but it should work in any clone as long as it has 1.54 firmware or above.
