What the difference with Modbo v1.1 ?
Can you post a picture of this blue chip?
The modbo 1.2's I've seen had a green pcb.
Whats different? Basically a single resistor was added to change the voltage on one leg of the main chip.
It still dies if you change the config screen.
As far as I know nothing is different from the modbo 1.1
Also my blue Modbo has SAIFUN 25F005 not 25F010. And I can't flash blue Modbo with disc. I have to desolder it and program 25F005 separateley to MI f-ware 1_4..
My v1.1 Modbos has both type of EEPROMs.
So, v1.2 dont have any difference from v1.1?
Have you programmer schematic and software? (for eeproms)
Thank you
My Infinity SE chips also have the Saifun SA25F005, but they can be flashed.
Maybe the blue modbo's have firmware upgrading disabled.
where did you get this blue modbo at?
yeah.. would be intresting.
can you please post a picture or sent me an email with a picture to "konsolenmods@gmx.at"
thx

It dosn't matter which SAIFUN you have. What matters is if the SAIFUN has been protected in ALL 4 sectors( See Saifun Datasheet. Internal Write Protect. SA25F005). Then you can't flash by disc anything. The only way is by a programmer that can do the SAIFUN separately.
This is Blue Modbo v1.2 ( added power fix )
You could lift pin 3 of the eeprom high (connect pin 3 to the 3.3v rather than ground), and this should enable flashing of the chip by an upgrade cd.
I assume that since the eeprom is write protected, the config screen bug is also resolved.
Good news for those using dirt cheap clones :)
Yes that is partially true SlinkyDink, but what about those who r not happy with F-Ware 1.38 and 1.39 as they don't support Dual Layer?
1_4 is nice....1_5 with all 4 data sectors internally locked would be better don't you think? I'm working on it like many others I hope.
