I broke down and decided to try one of these cheap clones. I have searched, and I find people saying it can be flashed, and others say it cannot or it will die. I was under the impression that these clones could do anything the infinity could EXCEPT save in the configuration menu. Can the Modbo be disabled by pressing start? Or will that fry it?

Yes it can be flashed, and it can be disabled. Everything works great except the config menu as you mentioned
(BTW there is no harm done if you go into the config screen, just as long as you dont save any settings)

Thank you, SlinkyDink! I figured that was the case, just wanted to make certain. I installed the Modbo last night into a NIB V9 along with the romeo mod. The thing is great! Now I have an Infinity (clone) and a brand new ps2!! I think I like these modbos!

it can be done by getting the eeprom out and reprogam it to enable the ENABLE PIN and then connecting the ENABLE pin to GND.
