modbo instal probs on a pal v4, help pls

hi, first of all i don't want to sound ungratefull but if your gon to slag off the modbo and tell me i shouldn't buy clones don't bother as your wasting yours and my time!

i've just read through 7 pages of crap to get around 4 posts with any real info in them, at the endof the day its my choice so pls respect it i don't give u shit.

right for peeps who want 2 help, sorry about that but i can't be arsed starting another thread for ppl to flame the modbo :mad:

i've installed one on a v4 pal macine and i'm getting booting probs, it either boots up fine with a backup, boots but stays on a black screen, or boots to the dreaded red screen?

anyone have any thoughts on this?

Sounds like laser problems,try cleaning the lens and adjusting the pot.

It can also be the chip,there has been reports of modbos having bad bootrates on some consoles.

Without flaming you,Why did you pick a modbo?

cool thanks for the info m8, i tried loads of different media on he ps2 b4 i put the modbo in and it worked fine, not ps2 bacups obviously but dvdr films etc?

i've been doin xbox's for quite a while and have only just begun trying ps2's this being my 4th, there a few reasons i chose the modbo, one being the price, another being knowing a reliable supplier, and like i said since i've done xbox's i really compared it to the dfference between say the alladin and the executor both do the same basic functions that the people i mod for want so i don't bother with the higher end chips with the bells and whistles :)

I find that backup dvd movies boots alot easyer than DVD ps2 games,but Im sure if you clean the laser and maybe drop the pot a little it will work fine,v4 consoles should show there age round about now.

The only problem that I have with the modbo is that the configeration menu kill the chip,but its hard to compair it to a alladin in a xbox,becouse a alladin works a 100% boots fine aswell,just make sure to tell your customers to stay out of the config screen,and not to try and flash the chip.

how can i see NTSC games on a PAL TV in full colour (the ps2 is a pal version)

Also in a v12(slim) usa version(ntsc) i can't get colour in any pal games

Please dont tell me that i need a rgb cable.

The t.v. that we working is a sony kind full multy sync system
Ive installed a Duo2 SE before and all games PAL and NTSC worked in full color!!!!

Any ideas?

The modbo is set to the wrong colour mode,and you cant change it without killing the chip,becouse you cant change settings in the configeration screen with modbos,so basicly it will allways be like that unless you replace the modbo with a proper Matrix Infinety,and change the colour setting in the canfig screen.
