    i want to install a modbo 4.0 on my ps2 scph-30001 r mainly to play psone backups. i currently use fmcb and need to know if the modchip will work with fmcb. or do i have to pick one or the other only.

    Nope you can have both as that is my setup. The modchip will also boot your fmcb backups just fine. I use fmcb just for hdd loading and ps1 emulation

    great. thats what i want to do, hdd for ps2 backups and cd-r for psone backups. one question, will the psone games with anti-modchip protection boot normal with my v5 ps2 and modbo 4.0? or do i need to patch them because i read that those games only work on ps2s v9 and up
