    Sup boys,
I want to purchase a modbo 760 it seems to be cheap and cheerful, but i just wanted to clarify a few things, after i install the chip in v14 will i have to flash it? (because it doesn't say anything about firmware update) If so what firmware is it? Is it a matrix infinity firmware or a specific modbo firmware? where can i get these firmware from and what are the firmwares called?(filenames etc.) And are these modchips realiable?
    Cheers.

the modbo does'nt need a firmware upgrade.. it does'nt have one although it is configurable(i think), search for the thread here... the chip is OK but not better than a MI or CC1.1...

Modbo 760 is a clone of the Matrix Infinity. You can't upgrade the firmware but it is configurable.

The chip working great, better the CC 1.1, that for sure and i'm installing them bought.

    it's very easy to install!

it's not falling down from MI as well, accept the Upgrading thing.

it can be configured, and you can cange modes from NTSC to PAL very easy (better from CC chip in this case)

cc 1.1 can convert ntsc to pal or vice versa.

Everyone knows that, but there is real BUT:

    1. you have to install the BM on the memory card and run with the MEMORY card in the PS2.

    2. it has alot of bugs regarding converting and it's much complicated with all the "settings" a user have to do to convert the game.

    3. faild to do so for NTSC/J games when tested it and waisted alot of traying with falier.

    4. it convert ONLY the games and now the CONSOLE (ie: including the browser menu)

on the modbo chip , it does it automaticly but you can control it from the chip menu by pressing the circle and the triangle button, and with much esey way.

also, it's working very well and also you have ability to convert the whole ps2 to PAL or NTSC.

so , the modbo is actully better since the matrix code for that is better.
