My review:
Autoboots everything I throw into it: PS2 originals backups Psx original and backups. The chip is already flashed with the MI 1.82 firmware (Latest) Has a config menu that does save the settings! If it wasn't for the 2 different chip logos I would say it was the same as the MI.
Heres what I mean:
THE MI SPLASH SCREEN
THE MODBO SPLASH
THE MATRIX CONFIG SCREEN
THE MODBO CONFIG SCREEN
In my opinion this is (and dont rant about clones are bad or clones suck just a review guys) the best clone that you can buy. I was shocked at how much it was like the real MI. All the functions of the real MI work! This chip is also very cheap I sell them for $16 but lower prices in the very near future. Other places have it for around the same price also. The install is not for your noob that has little or no soldering experience. To test this chip I had it put on a V4 board (Didn't have a whole PS2 so I put together with 4 different version spares I had!FRANKENSTEIN PS2!!) which required 20 wires. The g wire is tricky. Very easily you can bridge some legs on the chip. Look http://www.modbo2.com/diagramme/modb...-diagramme.jpg
Get a installer for these chips if u never had any soldering experience.
I give it 2 thumbs up. Next to see if you can kill it with a firmware upgrade or downgrade. Also I want to see if the modbo 520 and 530 can be installed in v 14 15 and 16 (just curious cause old myths can be played in v16s and are said to be limited to v13) Here more pics of my test:
