9|Maximus NandFlasher - $34I prefer Octapus3D (and all other quicksolder solutions)
cause simply you save much time installing it,
as also if something go wrong in the installation,
you can check it out easy with one glance (only 8 wires and 10 pads to check)!
Octapus3d, compared to other quicksoldered modchips,
is much better because of the flex board, that can be easilly removed
if needed, without damaging the mainboard or modchip.
Saving some money/time from getting a cheap and good working modchip,
is not so important if you have to install one modchip,
but if you have to install 5-10 a day, then it is very important..!
i got a MI GREEN DOT. its great, i highly recommend it. but for those who don't want to spend the extra money, hopefully this poll will help.
Also the octapus 3d has a plug in programming pad on it so you can upgrade the firmware from their site or whatever ice firmware you want
Thats actually a nice feature, so if I was going to make a vote on this poll (which I just did) the better of two evils would for sure be the octapus 3d.Originally Posted by gamecubesuxs

dang that sounds like a chip i shouldve gotten i didnt know that that chip was upgradable
but do they actually release any upgrades or are you stuck with final ice code (not that its bad, just doesn't have support for newer versions)

heres a link to the upgrades on their site but im sure any ice firmware will work
They updated their install diagrams here http://www.sonypsp.gr/catalog/produc...roducts_id=181Originally Posted by WhatsAModchip?
