Hi all, I have the MODBO 4 chip and a PS2 V10 FAT. I was wondering what is this I keep hearing about the Power Voltage Mod you have to make to V9 and V10 PS2? The chip I bought came with another tiny chip. Is this what I need for the Power voltage? Where does it go? I don't see it on the diagram.

Also, I am trying to find someone that can solder this in for me but I am not having any luck.. I live in Marietta, Georgia, USA if anyone wants to do it.

    I will pay for it..

If you look at the chip picture I uploaded you can see the small chip behind the big one..

    thanks all!

The small chip is for the slim v12 models . You can throw that away. The fix you have to do is the ROMEO MOD. Just soldering and a bit of wire is all that you will need. Here is a bit of info for you. http://www.repair-modchip-modchips-p...version-10.htm

YOU MUST DO THE ROMEO-MOD FOR ALL V.9 and V.10
The other fix is for v12 but it´s working all the best in the
trash can.(IT DOESN´T WORK AT ALL).For v12 you should use
    SumOne-fix and/or SlimFix v.3 or v.4

OK, thanks. After I get my MOD Chip in and everything is working fine. I then would like to put a Hard Drive in my PS2 and use HD Loader to play my games. Now, because I have a MOD chip and can read backups can I just put my PS2 Game backup in and let HD-Loader copy it to my hard Drive and then I am good to go? Or is there more work than that?

almost you can use either use HDLoader or WinHIIP 1.6.7 to install the games and remove or rename etc .but WinHIIP 1.6.7 has more options .

but Modbo 4 has both Dev1 and Dev2 Features and the setting can be changed etc.

I have HD-Loader 0.8C that I downloaded from a Torrent site. It was about 150 MB ISO.

Can I use that? and is that all I need after I get my MOD chip installed? Also what is the biggest hard drive i can use with HD-Loader 0.8C?

    Thanks for the help!
