    Hi everyone,

As the title says, I was wondering if the Modbo 4 chip with 1.99 firmware on it can play PSX backups with the music tracks that can be played in a CD Player? I know the Modbo chip can play ps1 backups, but I was wondering if for very old PS1 games like Twisted Metal 1 and 2, I would be able to hear the music in-game with this modchip? The reason I ask this is because when I do a manual switch trick on my PS2 slim with Gameshark and the sensors blocked, the music for Twisted Metal 1 and 2 never plays in the background, and just the sound effects end up playing instead.

If anyone knows the answer to this that would be awesome as I am thinking about getting my brother a chipped PS2 for Christmas and I want to make sure it can play the old games with CD tracks perfectly. Thanks!

    The answer is : YES

The same audio problem is present in psx consoles using a boot disc to play backups, some games doesnt play background music.

When you install a pic in psx this problem its solved.

Again, the same problem was present in some backups itself, because some audio tracks "doesnt matched" whith record method and backgroud music isnt present in your game, its not a common issue, if your master disc is good no problem at the present.
Dont use Verbatim CDs (really!!!) use Benq for PSX copies.

install a modchip and play full psx games.

    Just some info.

As you can see:answer was a simple yes.
gamer3789 knows the problem well and exposed clearly for all of us, he just needs a simple confirmation to his idea.
