    Hi,
I wanted to change modchip on 39001 N console (NTSC). It had some bad clone chip which was dying I think...
Now, as seen in diagram NTSC V7 don't need H to be soldered.

I tried with H and without H and get black screen,but...
I didn't soldered CX spot. I screwed up that spot,it can't be soldered any more (or I can try super glue?). I read somewhere that CX is just for speed boot, but the PS2 is showing just black screen (without CX).
Is it possible to boot without CX? Can I use super glue for that spot?

Power button is working, reset also. It shuts down when holding button, but the eject button is not working. Also, the screen on my monitor automaticaly changes when I power up PS2 on SCART,now it just shows black screen.

    Any ideas?

    Just a question...
Have you plugged your controller in??

Maybe this helps you, cause i just found it....

    ModBo :

    -=( v5 & v7 consoles )=-

A controller must be plugged in for the chip to function. This is only the case on v5 & v7 models,
all other versions do not need a controller plugged in to function..

    Yes,I have tried that,thanks
The only thing that worries me is CX. If CX must be connected to work (or not?),then is it possible to put a super glue on that spot?

I have read that "cx" in Modbo 4 is needed....

Here i found a pic with the "cx" point. If you look it goes to the second pin of the chip.....
Maybe there you can solder it....

I said I screw up CX point on mainboard...but I used super glue, and it looks like it's in place

    But...

After I used a super glue on that point, and after I was hit by electricity later (I didn't get any super powers ),I realized that no picture was on screen because the chip was not isolated...
Fixed that, but the backups are not working... (also pressing triangle and circle doesn't work)

I checked all wires, they are good, inserted joypad in slot 1,no luck...

My guess is that CX point is dead and because it can't be soldered,it can't work

    Friend
You can not use the superglue for that it must be solder if you do not have a point on mobo u can solder that wire(CX or CLOCK) directly on the IC
    Look on Pic
