modbo 1.2 in a pal v9(silver)
originals come up with infinity logo below "playstation 2", i can even disable on boot up![]()
the thing is as soon as i try a backup it goes to the rsod??![]()
i've used the pal mi diagram

H Wire is neccessary in Pal consoles from V9 - 13.

Are you sure? I think it's the other way around, for cdvd auth to work in USA, TAIWAN and JAPAN you need to connect the H wire. That's at least how most of the lastest gen modchips work.Originally Posted by m4tty1

Hmm, that's weird. If you check the install diagrams for Modbo and Infinity SE they all say H for NTSC and not for PAL. But it does not heart to connect both, other chips use only one diagram per ps2 version (with H connected on all US/EUR/JAP/TAI).

The diagrams are wrong, u need the H point to be connected on PAL machines..
Regarding to Matrix team its no harm attach the H wire on PAL consoles though the diagrams says not need to.
Ive installed 2 real MI's myself on PAL machines that needed H wire.
Very strange.
