I'd do a mod chip but I think I'd be stuck installing it on my own. I have no soldering experience too, mind you, short of seeing others do it ( :lol: ). So I think I'd end up just with fried PS2 instead of modded PS2. I'd opt to have a pro install it but its a V1 and people only install for V4 and above these days. I've read around and from what I've seen, I can say the system still boots well, I haven't fallen victim to dieing DVD drive....yet (*knock on wood*).
Just trying to get some input.
