Which mod is the easiest to use?

Complexity of the install is not an issue as an installer will do it.
We have a V5/6 PS2, use Toast Titanium V7 with quality media to create backups from original purchased game disks stored to protect them from damage.
Backups must run EXACTLY like a new disk out of the box, as they are for KIDS. Kids disks that get left of the floor. stepped on, scratched, and even broken. No secret button presses, engineering degrees, boot disks, hooks to pull trays out or other types of hacks should be part of the mod.
It needs to run the copies exactly like the originals in every way.
We'll never go online or need "advanced" features so that's not an issue. Just stability and simplicity. There's so much information on mods that it all just becomes a jumble of tech talk. Simple question - simple answers wanted... Is what we are looking for even possible???? Can Toast do the job correctly for backups? Any Mod that fits our need?

You want the Matrix Infinity then. Ritek or TY media is what you should use.

If the infinity is too expensive, go with the matrix mx4, it auto boots everything and plays nicely. Media, yeah TY, Ritek, Verbatim, its all good. You said you didnt want any advanced features...The mx4 is probably your best bet then. Dont fart with toast, use dvd decrypter and use mode -> iso -> read, to make a backup, then mode - iso - write, to create a backup.

Also, check out for the Octapus3D modchip
that has the simplest installation technic,
with only 7 easy wires to solder!
It autoboots all type of original-backup media.

as that is a v5/6 I would get that laser checked out before modding. Don't want you to have to waste time and money modding a notoriusly bad ps2. It might have the r-type laser in it.

Especially since she has kids. Once you mistreat a r-type laser by putting in bad(ie scratched) discs on a modded console. Haha. Sorry about that but you're gonna pay. I have a friend who's got his magic 3.1 in a v5/6 lasted 8 months, then before I knew much about ps2's I tried to fix it. Hahaha. Goddamn that POS. Fing pots were not responding to being turned down, thenn I bought another r-type laser replacement. I installed the replacement and it still acted weird. I follow ShadowKnights tutorials too. But even he says r-type's are junk. Oh how much time I wasted on that POS. Never want to see a r-type again
