Can anyone tell me where int the UK (internet would be best now) I can get the cables to fit a DMS3? I went to Maplin today and asked for 30 gauge solid core and the guy was like, thats too small... and started quizzing me. Then said they dont actually have any.

Or if Farnell and RS won't sell direct to you (Can't remember if they sell direct to the public as I always order through work) try www.divineo.co.uk under the PS2 section, imports right at the bottom (Kynar wire 100m)

uhhh, anyone in a store thats starts quizzing you on why you need 30 guage wire needs to be told to **** off. 30 guage wire is not a modchip specific item and is carried by many electronics stores for many reasons. hell, you could be using it to repair traces on a motherboard, building a radio, or even just building a small electronic project. none of which are even remotely questionable as far as legality is concerned(well, radios can be. that all depends on what kind of radio it is, how it's gonna be used, etc. but that doesnt have anything to do with just building the thing to sit on a shelf in your closet for all it matters to the store clerk)

Yes but it shouldn't matter if your modding it - so what (whats it to him?!?!)
they used to do the wire, and they even had the other (copper shielded) wire where you melt off the sheeting and solder - sorry forgot the name of it.

....sorry forgot the name of it.
copper enamel, magnet wire, winding wire.
Yeah, he probably just wasn't sure what you were looking for. You'd have to be pretty pathetic to be tracking down modders by going after people purchasing Kynar wire.
