Mod Chip Suggestions

Hello, i am new to the modding scene and would like to know, what is the best mod chip that you would recommend for a beginner. I have decent knowledge of soldering so i don't care if its no-solder or not. I know alot of people have been having problems with dead lasers from modchips so i plan on buying an extra laser the same time that i buy my modchip. My slim ps2 laser already died so i have to buy a replacement laser for that. I will be putting the modchip in my original ps2(v7). The modchips i was looking at were the following, please make any suggestions of any other modchips that are better.

Get the Matrix Infinity. It's pretty easy to install.
