mod chip question again Plz reply!!!!

I have a guy that is selling me a ps2 as I type this, I want to get your oppinion first. It has a magic 2 something another, he says that it came out right before the magic 3. I can't find anything on this and was wondering what you guys thought? Thanks.

Arrrrrrrr, don't get it. Magic 2 had some serious lockup problems matey. Kingdom hearts (orig and backup) would always freeze randomly. I had a M2 meself and speak from experience. See if'n ye can get an upgrade to the chip at least.

I have a friend with a magic 2. He can't play DVD9s, swap with an AR, nothing. His Gaming Experience shattered into pieces due to this chip.
DO NOT get any form of the magic chip, with an exception to Magic V.
