Not if you give up that easily. That is a sure way to failure in most things.

Tons of people have succeeded in using this stuff, and you can do so too if you just muster a bit more pesistence. In cases like this it is a virtue to be stubborn...!

ok now I got 1 backup working but its not through SMB..
just direct external HDD to PS2

This forum is the wrong place for such discussions.

For more detailed info on OPL configuration, go to the correct subforum for such things, which is the forum of "Open PS2 Loader" itself, inside the forum for "Homebrew/Dev & Emu" stuff.
