MI help –
06-11-2005,08:37 PM
hi all
i just installed a MI in my buddies v7
the ps2 boots originals but when i put backups (only tried cdr media) it goes to a red screen that says it need a valid type of ps2 media,
when i boot the ps2 and hole X+O it goes to the matrix screen so i would suppose that the chip is correctly soldered? or no?
i triple checked all wires and everthing seems fine but it jus wont boot
i tried games, PSmedia player,
any suggestions?
Thx

did you flash the chip ? you may have the homebrew version that will need to be flashed to play a backup . if thats not it check wires a,b,i and make sure your backups are good .

would the matrix screen come up with a bad install
should the clone play backups?
i kno i should not flash these as the new firmware has clone protection.
the 1st time i booted the ps2 it said playstion2 and had a matrix logo under it
but once i tried it the next day it wasnt their but the matrix config would still come up?
any suggestions
Thx
