    Hey guys,

    i'm having some troubles whit a messiah2 chip i had put in a PS2 v7.
The problem is that when i power on the ps2 and put in a PS2 BACKUP, it whill play the game, but when i power down the ps2 and starting it up again, it will not play the ps2 backup games i put in there anymore.
If i wonne play ps2 backups again i have to waid some time and then try again, if i waited long anouf it will boot again.
All other times i get to see "put in ps2 disk" on a cloudi red background.
So it will only boot the ps2 backup once, when it has not bin running for some time and the ps2 is cold.
All the rest like there is ps2 orig. or ps1 orig. and ps1 backups are booting whell and aloveragain and again.
I nod tested DVD's because i use a dvd player for this, so this is not importend for me.
I hope you have some tips because i chekked everything again and again allready.
Sorry for my bad Englisch but i'm from Belgium and they gave us only French in that time.
Thanks for hearing and helpen me out,
    Johnny.

    Hoi,
i did cut the track on the pcb of the messiah2 as was told.
I just read about a similar problem that was fixed by using the alt. bios points from Enthity, and i'm going to try this now.

At first i thaugd it was fixed, because it booted about 8 times a ps2 backup, then i booted a ps1 backup and then tried again to boot the ps2 backup.....but then it was the same terible red screen asking my to put in a disk again altough i had switched back to ps2 mode by putting the PS2 back to standby.
    So i'm still in shit.
    Please anyone ???
    Greets,
    Johnny.

    Is the fan working?
Is everything screwed down properly inside (the metal case)?

You need to open up and take a look.

    Hoi Charlie,
yes i am shure everithing is ok inside, i have opend it and closing it already 9 times i think.
Fan and all the rest is working fine, accept...
BUT as i am testing and surching further, i must ADJUST THE SENARIO !!!!
It semes now that aslong as i stay booting only ORIG.PS2 and/or BACKUP PS2 games, NO PROBLEM, but when i boot a PS1 ORIG. game and aftherwards back again a PS2 BACKUP then it won't boot de PS2 BACKUP anymore.
It looks to me more of a switching problem between the PS1 and PS2 mode.
    Is this possible??

By the way, this is realy a good looking board, whit incredible good and nice illustrated answers.
    Fantastic !!!!

    Johnny.
