Have any users of the above mod & ps2 had this issue:
Ps2 boots up ok & runs all games.Tapping reset re-boots game no probs, but as soon as the it is put to standby & turned on again,it RSOD's,even if u tap reset.Whats happening is it puts itself in "disable" mode,I proved this by putting a dvd movie from standby & booted ok,as do any originals, but not copies. Now here come the weird bit.....leave the ps2 on standby for about 20 mins,& turn on...all games boot 100% until u place back to standby & turn on again.
This is the 2nd time I've encountered this, both on V9,& the 1st time it happened, the mod was removed & placed in a v3 which is happily working away,so it seems limited to V9 units.
    Has anyone encountered this????

THe "B" version of the chips work fine in V9-10.

Are you sure you are not holding the Eject button too long when youre trying it again? In the V9 and 10 the chip is wired to go into standby by holding the Eject button, not the reset button like all of the other versions.

It should boot backups when you turn it on using the rear switch, and go into to standby by having the sytem on and holding the eject button for 5+ seconds.

Just use the instructions like the other units, but use the eject button instead.

By standby,u mean disable right????Putting the unit into standby(RED led) is still done by holding the reset button.
Like I said earlier, all copies boot fine time & time again when reset is pressed/tapped,but as soon as I put it to standby(RED led),then just turn on again by pressing the reset button,i always get RSOD.But if I wait for about 10 mins in standby(RED led),& turn ps2 on,games boot fine.Somehow its getting stuck in 'disable mode'......& thats what I'm trying 2 find out why???
