    Hi all,

I just installed a M2 in a Pal V4 PS2. Installation seems to be ok. All backups and originals run, but there's one strange thing. When the tray is open and I press Reset, a 'ticking'/'rumbling' noise comes from the tray motor. This lasts for about 1 sec and then the PS2 really resets and the tray goes in without any problem. Anybody else has seen this behaviour??

    TIA,

    Durkie

I haven't seen this behaviour and I hope someone can relate directly - but just open it up again and look see what may be touching the tray after previous re-assemblt. I assume you didn't locate the Messiah 2 near the tray.

Same problem here, using origa chip...

But the noise is only for 0.5 sec for opening, and 0.2 sec for closing tray...
