    Received my Messiah 2 Euro v1.07 today.
    Noticed pins 1 and 2 of the Actel chip are soldered together.
    Is this normal or is it a soldering mistake ?
    (Am assuming pin 1 of chip is top left corner marked with small dot)
    Haven't fitted it yet so don't know if it works.

    Yes is normal.
    If examine the board carrefull then maybe you can find another short .

    Do you mean the diode ?
    The track on the back is already cut so it is not short !
