Messiah2 does not work with Asian models?

you can also try to pm Sonic from hardwarezone forums or Don from gamersquare. They are the same person and I have personally let him mod a 10 screw set before. Beautiful job.

After reading through the responses here and gathering data from other sources, I conclude the following:-

Asian set V7 and below-mod with Messiah 2 Pro v1.22a.

Asian set V8- mod with Messiah 2 Pro v1.30

Correct me if I am wrong.

ckt posted some pictures of his Asian sets modded with Messiah2 v.122a, and hence prompted me to dig a little further, and I called Don to ask about his experience too. That's where I got some of my answers. And guess who was the ppl responsible for telling me that Asian sets can't be modded with Messiah 2 original? Seow Choon's technician.

MM is also not modded Asian sets with Messiah 2 original; called Magnum and asked him personally. He said only Messiah 2 CLONES are installed on Asian sets for now. Just talked to him a few days back.

One more thing, I pm ckt asking him about his mod jobs, and he told me he only does V1-V7 since he is using Messiah2 v1.22a. I guess he still has stock and thus has no need to order the newer batch of Messiah2 v1.3. So anyone with the older Asian sets can go pm him and discuss further if you are keen on modding with Messiah 2 for your Asian set.

Don has ordered Messiah 2 pro v1.3 and told me it will be in by next weekend...11-12 of April 2003. Just called him yst. Try to find him if you are keen...I don't know his nick in ps2newz.net though.

Yes you can. But that's the actions of a retard since v1.22a is cheaper cost wise, and if your set is V7 and below you have someone like ckt with v1.22a and still insist on the more expensive v1.3, I can only say you are rich and has got lots of spare cash. I can't control stupidity can I?

Wrong. Don has run out v1.22a and his new Messiah2 v1.3 is also at SGD$150. After MM's reported scams in much of our local forums, I can't trust them much any longer.

btw hyper megaman, I respect you as a PS2 hardware guy. But your MM promotions are getting on alot of my friends' nerves. Can you behave like someone with backbone? Or is that beyond you?
