The installation were almost the same on the front pcb except a few difference at the back of the PCB which you have to solder on VIAs. So be careful.

Dvd9 booted first and everytime... No dvd-r booting issues
The above test was tested when the hdd bundle were not installed. When we install the bb unit. When booting an orange led from the mainboard will light up. The booting of the games were not infected though... But we couldn't seem to initialize the hdd using the attached bb unit browser 0.3 cd when we have installed the chip.. Even disable it won't help.
Hope the m2 team could possibily look into the matter and fix it.
We need the damn BB instructions in English (or Russian!). Anyone got that? The stuff that Seph sent me was really difficult to comprehend.
isdnman: When you try and prepare the HDD using the BB Navigator 0.30 cd, what happens? Does the disc load at all?
Also what happens when booting a PS2 with the HDD already installed and formatted pre-m2 install?
If it does load, can you still view system specs, DVD drivers, MAC address, etc?
Charlie: Which parts do you need translated? The installation or the menus and options once installed.
Thanks Seph.Quote:

Isdnman sent me the 50000 MB/NH new. So the HDD runs but I doubt it has been set up. My goal is to set it up; load some games onto it; try and boot the games with Messiah2 active/disabled etc.
Then get more adventurous and try backups - but later later!
So I need the Installation Menus first.
The Options once installed may be deducible from the other stuff you pointed me too.
Great.
I take it you already have the BB Navigator cd? Have you tried to boot it with M2 installed? I think isdnman tried and it didn't work but maybe that was because the HDD was originally prepped before the M2 was installed.
I don't have it in front of me but there should be 4 options when you start the BB Navi disc, setup HDD, Setup Network, Install BB Navigator and shutdown (i think).
If you select the "Install BB Navigator" option (3rd option), this will format the HDD and install the browser, network, etc
To download a game, checkout the Konami channel, there's one there ;-)
Yes I have the CD. The BBN boots with the M2 installed.
I'll try what you suggest when I get back to the UK later this week.
What do you expect to happen then? And are you able to get the doc translated at all 'cos it's bound to go wrong for me!
The truth is when i tried to initalize the hdd when m2 installed .. no matter activated or not activated i got this screen....

which means the console didn't detect the bb unit
But the problem would solve as soon as i desolder the chip
