Guys, I desperately need all of ur help!!!!!!!!!

    PS2 (PAL version V4)
    Messiah chipped

Yesterday, I was watching a DivX movie with PS2reality mediaplayer and i had turned it on for a bout 3 hours, because I went to a friend.

When I came back the movie was ended, everthing looked normal . I turned my PS2 off and later in the evening I want to play a PS2 DVD-R game, but it doesnt boot it anymore . And all PS2/PS1 cd-roms (original and copided) boot and DVD movies except PS2 DVD-R games . I opened my PS2 cleaned the lens etc., but still it doesnt boot PS2 DVD-R . Could someone explain me what happend to my PS2. Is this the end of my PS2.

    thanks in advance

You may have blown a fuse on the motherboard somewhere...? If so, it can easily be repaired.

One thing I have noticed is that the laser azimuth adjustment will sometimes allow some media to boot but not others. I have worked on a couple of machines where the azimuth adjustment is required even when brand new. DVDr is the hardest to read so if your azimuth adjustment was "on the hairy edge", it may have just now gotten to a point where it will no longer read DVDr, yet everything else seems to work fine. Sony obviously does not care where this adjustment lands, as long as it reads original CD and DVD so your azimuth adjustment may have been close to the limit from day one.
