check for pinched wires. and make sure it isnt overheating. but after that 40 mins when it freezes. could u just press reset and then it works again for another 40 mins?
when it freezes it stops with the graphics on the screen,
when i then reset it,only a blank screen comes up....
it stays like that no matter what i do for about 40 mins, i have to turn it
off and leave it for that amount of time then it starts up again, mostly as
usual...
so yes i have to leave it to cool down i guess...
any ideas??
make sure the fan assembly is plugged in, and that it's spinning, make sure it's not overheating.
apart from that advice, you're screwed.
When the PS2 overheats, it does shut down instantly and start blinking the RED led. Until the temperature goes down the limit the led continues to blink.
That's the problem a person with stuck/broken fan might get ....
As far as i am aware i dont get the blinking red light, it just stops working for 40 mins and then works again.
I had the same problem. Opened her up and found that I forgot to plug the fan back into the mainboard![]()
