Messiah 2 PS2 DVD Problem

I can play all my games and movies so far...but I finally sat down to watch a DVD on the PS2 and the color is really, really bad!!! It fades in and out from perfect screen to really dark and red. Any ideas what this can be or if it can be fixed? I have a 30 day from the installer....but it's running out soon! Thanks for any input.

if you have the ps2 hooked to the tv through your vcr then that is macrovision, not a problem with the install at all, try hooking it directly into your tv, should correct the problem
