First off, I do not know how to boot this thing, I keep looking online and following some procedures and I can't boot a ps1 game for nothing. Also, I want to play Tekken 4 on my v7 ps2, I place the backup into the drive and it seems that it will boot up, however, the ps2 subverts back to the ps2 browser and says "Reading Disk" also please tell me how to boot this crap, because I am getting annoyed.
for the ps1 games you have to double tap the reset button when you first start up gthe ps2 now for the ps2 games hold the reset button until the red light turns blue and release.
mann, do you speak from experience? b/c I have a V7 modded messiah2 and I boot ps1 orginals/backups as follows:
from standby, hold RESET until BLUE light turns on, then release, and ps1 will boot.
p.s. I think you have bigger problems then getting ps1 to boot ;)

thetiger is 100% correct, that is the only way to boot ps1 games with the m2
I have solved my problem by realigning my laser with the anglar and tangential skews. and I burned Tekken 4 using DVD Decryptor rather than Nero. My v7 work well now. Thanx
