If there are scored groves between all of the pcbs, then they are just "panelized" and are meant to be broken appart. Just place a scored line on the edge of a table and press down slowly....the pcbs will start to flex and tear on this line. Wiggle up and down to completely separate the two pieces. Repeat until they are all appart.
It sounds like a rough proceedure, but it's perfectly fine. Just don't apply any pressure to the microcontroller (the big chip)...but even if you did it shouldn't hurt it. Maybe try to apply an 'even' pressure across the pcb as you're pressing down.
If there are little rails around the whole thing, these can be broken off with a pair of needle-nose pliers.
You may be thinking, "why didn't they separate these for me?"...
They probably wanted to save time and money in not having to individually wrap up the pcbs. Shipping as a whole is more sturdy, but would require a larger box...depending on how many are on a panel.
Hope that helps.
BTW: What sort of media does your v7 M2 like? not sure what the HP200i can do.
Hey Don6323, have you try what vectrex was saying? because i also have two messiah2 chip connected together. can we just use a razor blade and cut the scored groves?
thx
I was able to break them apart. I was kind of nervous since it took some pressure but it worked. Turn the board over chip away from you put your thumbs on the score line and break apart like a cracker.
I use TDK. Memorex. and Ritec +R disc all work. No problems just stay away from the disc with gold bottom. The darker the die the better.
