2) Seems ok.
Charlie's Reply: Seems? You're not sure.
3) 3.45V is confusing as this goes to the 3.5v on the resistor by the NTSC/PAL colour fix points on my board. Is this right? Where else can you draw 3.45v out as the Messiah 2 doc v1.2c (written by you?) doesn't actually state a 3.45v point, just 3.5v?
Charlie's Reply: Doesn't matter and isn't the problem.
4) I'm guessing these are the small chips at the front and back at the edge of the board - they are covered by heat xfer blocks.
5+ 6) I've been testing with the case undone and upright - but only for very brief periods.. (on, 10/20 secs no boot, off). Seemed too much hassle to try something, do up all the screws, then undo them all again!
Charlie's Reply: So all the heat transfer blocks are TIGHTLY in place?
7) All wires seem cool. - think I'm going to have to get the multimeter on it and get that 3.45v checked.
Charlie's Reply: Seem? You're not sure.
Thanks for your input.
I bet after all this I'm going to end up taking the chip off and getting it going as standard.
