Hi all and thanks again Relayer as yuo said earlier stripped i t and checked everything SUCCESS !!!!!! bad connection on wire V built up and most PS2 backups working and all old PS1 's some of the PS2 are in black and white is this the backup, or the colour fix mentioned in charlies guide ?? which I did by the way.

Relayer's good, isn't he. if you did the colour fix the right way round for your TV then backups from the other TV standard should display in colour.
Don't know where you're from so can't be more specific.
Thanks Charlie, PS2 is a PAL V5/6 version and I am in the UK,the PS2 plays all old PS1 backups in colour just a certain number of PS2 backups,I am sure I did the colour fix as your diagram was it second leg on chip to ground VIA point?.

I think you've got the colour fix point wrongly linked. The diagram shows two alternates - a via (bad to use) and the chip leg (better). Take whichever of the alternates you use to a GND point somewhere and that will force PAL 60. Then it's down to your TV being able to resolve 60Hz.
Thanks Charlie I took the wire from the chip leg to the VIA!!!!!!!**** UP or what ,so take it from the leg, which was tight to the ground point which was not far away is this right ?.

Any known GND point will do, the closer the better but don't worry.
