I tried some searching but could not find a direct answer. I have just installed a messiah 2 pro 1.30 on a v7 ps2(there are no bridges for the connections and all are good, I will triple check tonight) It boots original ps2 and ps1 but get the red screen when booting cd-r for ps2 or cd-r ps1. My question is what wires should I check for to have a bad connection? Or are there alot of bad chips out there? Got mine from easybuy2000 Or what else could be wrong?

At least that is a good sign that it will still boot.

Next thing is to triple check the connection points.

Make sure your clock wire is as short and as thick as possible - same goes for the voltage and ground wire.

    see attached install.
